REPLENISH & RENEW

BUFFS WITH CARE

YOU WON'T *BELIEVE* WHO'S JUST TURNED 50

Oh, didn't we mention? It's us. Yep, we're celebrating our 50th birthday this year (we know, we know, we don't look it right!?), and what better way to mark the occasion than by celebrating some of the very best bits from the past half a century.

Scroll to take a trip back in time, from where we are now, to roses, reinventions, and, erm...'Meal Soaps'.

2021

We exploration back at the heart of our brand. How? After a couple of *difficult* trips (just don't mention Sri Lanka), we launched the first in a series of dedicated collections inspired by our travels.

SHOP BALI

Based on our cult hand cream, we created The Gardeners; a fresh collection full of small-batch formulas, it’s packed with botanical ingredients to suit skin’s needs, now..

We reinvented Evelyn Rose, too, adding sparkling Italian lemon, spicy nutmeg and woody vetiver to create our Femme de Force fragrance. Rita, our Senior Exploration Manager, said it’s for “strong, independent women.” We agree.

SHOP EVELYN ROSE

2019

We overhauled our Crabtree collection, launching it as a unisex range of fuss-free formulas (with skincare benefits) to streamline your bathroom shelf.

SHOP CRABTREE

1994

People’s needs were looking a little different thanks to the birth of the internet (yep, *that* little thing), and, with our founder’s retirement (more on him, later), we started thinking about a change for our bran.

1993

We teamed up with English rosarian (cool job title, right?), David Austin, who named one of his apricot-pink, fruit-fragranced flowers after our iconic Evelyn Rose collection.

1984

After a stint living in Paris (sampling baguettes, we imagine), our founder, Cy, returned to Massachusetts and started selling soaps from his travels out of the old Brattle Theater. Fast forward a few years, and this side hustle had turned into a fully fledged business.

After opening our first stand-alone store in Philadelphia, he hopped across the pond to London. And so? Crabtree & Evelyn was born..

SHOP CULT COLLECTION

1925

This is when it all started. With a man called Cy. Well, Cyrus Isadore Harvey Jr, to use his full name (you can see why he shortened it). Born in Massachusetts, he grew up to be a nature lover, wanderluster and explorer. Oh, and the founder of C&E, of course.
